“There are excellent visual aids throughout the tape showing the correct and incorrect positions of the foal in utero, thus enabling the viewer to witness the proper approach of the foal. The actual foaling on film is effectively stopped at various stages to clarify what judgement call must be made regarding the integrity of the foaling . . . The main effect of the film is dignity: for the mare and the foal, for the horse owner and/or responsible person, and on the gravity of the responsibility for the safe gestation of the mare and delivery of her foal.” |
